TANKFEST 2025, presented by World of Tanks, kicked off with a surprise for ticket holders, with the headline King Tiger joined by the Tank Museum‘s own Tiger 131. This unique event marked the first time the King Tiger from the Musée des Blindés, in Saumur, France, has been to the UK and the first time running Tiger I and Tiger II tanks have been seen in public together in 80 years.

Spectacular live displays ran throughout the day, featuring iconic tanks from the First World War, right up to the present day with a demonstration of in-service vehicles from the British Army’s Royal Armoured Corps (RAC).

Highlights included an explosive Second World War re-enactment battle and a display Cold War armor from both sides of the Iron Curtain.

Chris Price, the director of the Tank Museum, said:

“It’s been such a wonderful atmosphere all weekend, and to have the only running Tiger tanks in the world together in the UK for the first time has made this year’s TANKFEST extra special.

“I’d like to thank everyone involved, including our event partners, our brilliant team of staff and volunteers, and all our sponsors – especially World of Tanks, who make this event possible.”
