Fascinating “Then And Now” Video Of Munich, WW2 to Present Day

Then and now photos or videos, an amazing way of morphing the past into the present and seeing exactly what happened on a location earlier in history. It is the closest that we have to time travel.

In this video we are going to take a look at Munich, the birthplace of the Nazi Party or NSDAP. It was in Munich that the NSDAP was founded in 1920 and it is there that a young Hitler joined it as member number 555, the first 500 were invented to make the party look bigger. Hitler soon took over the party and he learned to fine tune his oratory skills in the many beer halls that Munich had and it was from one of these that he launched his coup to overthrow the Bavarian government which ended in blood near the Feldhernhalle.

It does not end there because in his rise to power during the late 1920s it was in the city of Munich that the NSDAP had its headquarters. The list goes on and on!

Needless to say, all these locations will be visited in the video, accompanied information to tell you what happened there.
