Think You Are Cool Drifting In Your Car? Try It In A 63 Ton M1A1 Abrams Tank!

Needless to say, the M1A1 Abrams tank wasn’t made with drifting in mind. But when you drive it on snow and ice you better know what you are doing because losing control of 63 tons of heavy metal, we’d rather not think about that!

This is why U.S. Marines M1A1 tank crews work with the Norwegian Telemark Battalion on techniques of driving tracked vehicles in winter conditions on an snow/ice track.

That makes for some very cool footage because it’s not that often that you see a main battle tank sliding gracefully through a corner as if the Stig is behind the controls!

Not all drivers master it in their first try though so be prepared to watch the Abrams do some wacky stuff!
