Second World War and Crystal Meth: Hitler Was A Drug Addict?

According to information from a new finding, Adolf Hitler may have been a drug addict and that may have affected his state of mind during the Second World War. It is also alleged that the Nazi leader may have been under the influence of Crystal Meth while in attendance of a well-known meeting that took place between the Third Reich leader and Mussolini in July 1943 in Italy. During the meeting, Hitler is alleged to have lectured Benito Mussolini, the Italian dictator for several hours.

Over the years, Nazi Germany’s leader, Adolf Hitler has been remembered under different descriptions such as a genocidal warmonger, an unsuccessful art student, and a hateful ideologue. But never has he been described as a “drug addict”. However, new information has revealed drugs were an important influencer in the Führer’s daily life.

Details of Hitler’s hidden drug habit were contained in a 47-page dossier that was compiled by the American army during the Second World War. The Nazi leader is alleged to have been taking a mixture of 74 different kinds of drugs that were prescribed to him by his physician Dr Theodor Morell. And one of them was crystal meth. Others include barbiturate tranquilizers, morphine, bulls’ sperm, and Pervitin. Theodor Morell was an unconventional doctor that examined Hitler on a daily basis starting from 1936.

It is no secret that Crystal Meth was a popular drug among German Soldiers during the Second World War. It was used as a stimulating substance to relieve worn-out soldiers and boost their strength. And the drugs popularity was championed in the country around the end of the 19th century. What was not known is that Hitler was also consuming a reasonable amount of the addictive substance and making important decisions under its influence and many more other drugs.

Crystal Meth can boost testosterone, energize the user and make them feel alert. But it can also lead them to being aggressive, agitated as well as being paranoid.

According to Bill Panagopoulos, an American collector that came across the report, Morell is not supposed to practice medicine that involves human beings. He said Hitler’s doctor was a fake, a fraud and someone who knowingly sells fraudulent goods to his unsuspecting clients. Panagopoulos said Morell should only be practicing his profession in a veterinary clinic, which is his actual field, the jpost.com reports.

Seven decades after its extensive use by Hitler and his army during the Second World War, Crystal Meth has become a very popular drug in the black market. It is one of the most feared and addictive illegal substances used by drug addicts. The American TV series, “Breaking Bad” was centred on this drug that was also known as blue sky in the series.
