The Canadians in Normandy – in COLOUR!

We’ve assembled some amazing pictures of the Canadian forces in Normandy and best of all, they are all in colour! We follow them inland after landing on Juno Beach in an amazing series of pictures!

August 10th 1944, Canadian soldiers of the The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada,  6th Brigade, 2nd Canadian Inf. Div. descend descent a steep slope near Haut-Mesnil.

This picture was taken south of Caen (May sur Orne, Verrières) on 28 july 1944, the Sherman V ” Clanky ” is belongs to the commander of C Squadron, Major Dave Currie (VC.), of the 29th Reconnaissance Regiment (The South Alberta Regiment), 4th Canadian Armoured Division.
