To help us tell the story, we’ve teamed up with The Tank Museum, Bovington, which has two Matilda II tanks. The Matilda II played a crucial role in the North African campaign, where they first saw action at the Battle of Arras in 1940.

The Tank Museum’s operational Matilda II was manufactured in 1941 and sent to the School of Tank Technology in the UK, before being transferred to the Tank Museum in 1949.
