Eurofighter Typhoon’s D-Day stripes

See Britain’s Fighters – The Typhoon And The Spitfire Flying Together – Watch From The Ground And From The Typhoon’s Cockpit!

Remember the aircraft that defended Britain’s skies 75 years ago? This award-winning display presents the iconic Spitfire fighter aircraft flying alongside the contemporary British Typhoon fighter aircraft that is defending Britain’s skies today.

The ultramodern Typhoon fighter jet is currently painted in the Battle of Britain-era colour scheme, for 2015; acknowledging the courage and sacrifice of the pilots of the Spitfires who were part of the battle against the German Luftwaffe over 75 years ago.

Annually throughout the third weekend in July, the greatest military air show in the world is held. Generally held at the Royal Air Force base Fairford in Gloucestershire, England; it is sponsored by The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT). This spectacular air display, as a general rule, attracts a total of 150,000 to 160,000 onlookers. The air show performances last for the entire weekend and the viewers love every minute of it.
