Brilliant Lego Animation of the WW2 Battle of Arnhem!

This brilliant Lego animation shows the Battle of Arnhem, part of Operation Market Garden. This battle started on September 17th, 1944 and endured till September 25th, which is when the last troops of the British 1st Airborne Division and 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade finally withdrew across the river Rhine.

This animated movie shows the four-day battle that happened at the Bridge of Arnhem. This is where the northern side of the bridge was captured by troops from John Frosts 2nd Battalion. This meant the Germans couldn’t use the bridge. The German soldiers were held off for four days and three nights, even though they were far superior in numbers and had SS units and Tiger tanks at their disposal.

It was only when the buildings, which were being held by the paratroopers, were set on fire and demolished (leaving many soldiers still within the buildings, wounded) that the British troops gave in and surrendered. Video created by: JedAnimationStudios
